Collection: Albert Gonzales
My work is about self exploration and finding balances between colors and mark making. My efforts to explore while creating, rely on my intuitiveness while painting. This helps me find my flow state, which is related to the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, to embrace the beauty in the imperfect. I find my flow by pushing myself to the point of uncertainty, giving myself confidence to follow through. My paintings are my visual attempts of finding these balances in life. These are my imperfections and vulnerabilities on display through my exploration of color and composition.
